Meet Polo!
Polo is a beautiful pup who sadly has ended up in our care due to her owner being unable to provide for her.
Sadly Polo has grade 4 luxating patellas in both legs and due to her weight and a lack of exercise, this has exacerbated her walking issues. A luxating patella ranges in severity, for poor little Polo, its sadly the worst grade it can be, meaning her kneecap is permanently dislocated. We are helping her manage her condition through a restricted diet and careful exercise regime which is slowly building her strength up. Sadly, it is likely she will need expensive surgery.
Polo is a very sweet girl who is a typical Chihuahua and Jack Russell cross, she demands fuss once she gets to know and will even smile a little when she gets what she wants!
Her New Years Resolution is to get in top shape so she can find her forever home.
This Christmas, add a little to Polo’s stocking and help us get her back on track through her rehabilitation and any future surgeries required.
